How to Broadcast to Multiple WhatsApp Groups

This tutorial shows how to automatically broadcast messages to multiple WhatsApp groups or communities.

Native WhatsApp broadcast only allows to forward a message to up to 5 groups at a time. In this tutorial, we’ll see how to forward to multiple WhatsApp groups (even more than 5), and even more importantly – how to sync them automatically. This way, you can manage as many groups as you need to, as a single group. All you need to do is send a message once, and it is automatically forwarded to as many groups as needed.

This also allows you to overcome the WhatsApp group size limit:  you can simply add more and more groups to your WhatsApp “meta-group” – and still broadcast to all groups automatically, with a single send (even if you need to send your messages to a 100 groups every time).

This works with any type of WhatsApp group, including communities and regular “standalone” groups.

Let’s see how to set up automatic broadcast to WhatsApp groups, using WHAMetrics Bridge.

How to broadcast messages to multiple WhatsApp groups

To broadcast your messages to multiple groups, we simply link the groups to a single “source” group using WHAMetrics Bridge. This way, to broadcast your message to all of your groups, all you need to do is send it to the “source” group – and WHAMetrics Bridge will automatically broadcast it to all other groups. Here is how that is done:

  1. Log into WHAMetrics Bridge ( you can sign up for WHAMetrics Bridge here )
  2. Add the WhatsApp groups you want to sync to the console
  3. Choose one of your groups to be the “source” group – the one you send your messages to.
  4. For each of the other groups – select the group, click “Bridge” -> “WhatsApp to WhatsApp”, and select the “source” group as your source
  5. Click OK to confirm

That’s it! Your broadcast to groups is set up. Any message posted into the source group, will be automatically broadcast to all the other groups.

Now that group broadcast has been set up, verify it by posting something to the source WhatsApp group. You will then see it appear in other groups as well.

Note: WHAMetrics should be allowed to post  in the receiving WhatsApp groups. If your groups only allows Admins to post, you need to make the WHAMetrics number an Admin.

Can I bridge with WhatsApp Channels? Telegram Groups? Telegram Channels?

Yes, you can set up automatic forwarding with WhatsApp channels, WhatsApp groups, Telegram Channels and Telegram groups, in any combination. They are all supported.

How do I effectively manage multiple WhatsApp groups? What about analytics?

WhatsApp by itself does not provide too much insight and management on your groups groups. Fortunately, WHAMetrics shows an incredible amount of analytics for your WhatsApp groups. For example, you can see growth charts, engagement and reactions (sortable, per user and per message), view counts, unique members across various groups, and many many more. And when you have multiple groups that you manage, WHAMetrics can show you all groups together as a single “meta-group”. or more info on WHAMetrics analytics, see How to check WhatsApp Group statistics

Can I add a WhatsApp signature to my messages?

Yes, you can. WHAMetrics allows you to define a standard signature that gets appended to all messages. The most popular signature type is a “join group” link, so that if your message is forwarded, it will include the link to your group.
