This tutorial shows how to automatically sync multiple WhatsApp groups or communities. By syncing multiple WhatsApp groups, you overcome the WhatsApp group size limit, and can add any number of members to your WhatsApp “meta-group” – and still reach all members with a single send.
We will cover two main sync types:
This works with any type of WhatsApp group, including communities and regular “standalone” groups.
Let’s see how to link WhatsApp groups, using WHAMetrics Bridge.
In this article:
To mirror one WhatsApp group to another WhatsApp group, we simply setup a WhatsApp to WhatsApp bridge in WHAMetrics Bridge. Here is how:
That’s it! Your bridge is set up. Any message posted into the primary WhatsApp, will automatically appear in the target WhatsApp group as well.
Now that the WhatsApp to WhatsApp link has been set up, verify it by posting something to the primary WhatsApp group. You will then see it appear in the WhatsApp group as well.
Note: WHAMetrics should be allowed to post in the receiving WhatsApp group. If the group only allows Admins to post, you need to make the WHAMetrics number into an Admin.
We’ve seen how to make all messages sent to WhatsApp Group A, appear in WhatsApp Group B. But what if you want the sync to go both ways, i.e. messages from Group A get forwarded to Group B, and messages from Group B get forwarded to Group A? Simple – just add another bridge.
Just like you have set up a bridge from Group A to Group B, you set up a bridge from Group B to Group A. Now, all messages get synced to both WhatsApp groups, automatically.
Yes. For example, let’s say you have 30 WhatsApp groups, all getting same posts from you. Instead of copying those posts manually, designate one group as your “primary” group, and the rest as your “secondary groups”, defining a bridge from the primary group to each secondary. Now, all you need to do is post once – and WHAMetrics Bridge will forward your posts to all other groups, automatically.
Yes, you can set up automatic forwarding with WhatsApp channels, WhatsApp groups, Telegram Channels and Telegram groups, in any combination. They are all supported.
WhatsApp by itself does not provide too much insight and management on your groups groups. Fortunately, WHAMetrics shows an incredible amount of analytics for your WhatsApp groups. For example, you can see growth charts, engagement and reactions (sortable, per user and per message), view counts, unique members across various groups, and many many more. And when you have multiple groups that you manage, WHAMetrics can show you all groups together as a single “meta-group”. or more info on WHAMetrics analytics, see How to check WhatsApp Group statistics
Yes, you can. WHAMetrics allows you to define a standard signature that gets appended to all messages. The most popular signature type is a “join group” link, so that if your message is forwarded, it will include the link to your group.
